Enrolment

The Centre has a Non-discriminatory Access Policy under which children of different religious, cultural, or ethnic backgrounds and children with additional needs including disabilities are treated with equality, respect and consideration.  While we make every effort to assist children with disabilities, each case is treated individually and some children may have to be referred to alternative specialised services appropriate to their needs.

However, under the Childcare Benefit scheme, a Priority Access System does exist based on criteria set by the Family Assistance Office. Waiting lists are based on the priority of access and the date of enrolment.

Once you have decided to enrol your child at our centre, you must:

 a)      Ensure that you have read the PARENT HANDBOOK thoroughly. You will be required to sign a PARENT AGREEMENT that compasses the policies within the book.

b)      Complete and sign Enrolment Form and Parent Agreement.

c)      You will also be required to pay a BOND FEE – the equivalent of one week’s fee in advance. This is refunded to cover your last week of fees (if two weeks is received).

d)     Notify Family Assistance Office (FAO) of your attention to use our service (Refer to Childcare Benefits details below).

e)      AMEP parents must provide Proof of Enrolment from TAFE

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT OUR RECORDS ARE KEPT UP TO DATE. PLEASE NOTIFY THE OFFICE OF ANY CHANGES IE: ADDRESS, EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS, AND CUSTODIAL ARRANGEMENTS ETC.

MULTICULTURAL POLICY

Our program is committed to multicultural education and care. We share a commitment to human rights, dignity of the individual and social justice. We strive to create a program that reflects the lives of our children, families, staff and the community. We will make every effort to provide culturally responsive child development by affirming human differences and the right of people to make choices about their own lifestyles. We seek to recognise, appreciate and respect the uniqueness of each child and their cultural background.

We welcome any parental input or information in this area.
